THE

SENSATIONAL HISTORY

The story of Dell & The Sensations is about one family’s journey from a quaint seaside village to the shining metropolis that is Los Angeles.

Gales Point Origins

A remote village off the coast of Belize, Gales Point is home to a population of less than 500 inhabitants.

It was settled by former slaves who fled Spanish and British colonial rule. The isolation that once served as the inhabitants’ salvation also contributed to the growth of its distinct culture.

Of all places on the earth, who would think that this tiny village would be home to some of the most legendary musicians in Belizean history.

CITY OF ANGELS

The dirt roads and small thatched houses are a far cry from the bustling metropolis that is Los Angeles, yet they are connected.

Each influence the sound, style, and legacy of Dell and the Sensations.

Los Angeles in the early 1970s was filled with opportunity and possibilities for a group of young upstarts from Belize.

After playing in local bands such as the Astros and the (ENTER NAME OF OTHER DELL BAND), The Smart brothers came together as Dell & The Sensations.

The LA live music scene of the 1970s featured several talented caribbean bands as the community continued to grow.

South Central was especially hot as it was the epicenter of a caribbean community on the verge of explosion.
